on a discovered curl of hair

When your soft welcomings were said,
This curl was waving on your head,
And when we walked where breakers dinned
It sported in the sun and wind,
And when I had won your words of grace

It brushed and clung about my face.
Then, to abate the misery
Of absentness, you gave it me.

Where are its fellows now? Ah, they
For brightest brown have donned a gray,
And gone into a caverned ark,
Ever unopened, always dark!

Yet this one curl, untouched of time,
Beams with live brown as in its prime,
So that it seems I even could now
Restore it to the living brow
By bearing down the western road
Till I had reached your old abode.

                                                                                                                                                        -Thomas Hardy

  1. This poem has a sense of nostalgia :) Are you longing for something in your past??

I admit that before we got talking, I was always reminiscing about the past .. It was because no present memory could then ever feel happier than the childhood days :( The days after my childhood were some suffering..

But something happened ever since we got talking, ever since you've enlightened me about the true purpose of God dying for us, about His unconditional Grace..
ever since then, I noticed that I stopped reminiscing about the past.. I've finally been able to let go of the past---because these are finally happier days :) :)

Thank you dearest Joanna, thank you for all the things you've done for me!
I couldn't have been this happy without your help, couldn't have been brought back to God if it wasn't for your work on this blog, and also for your caring!
    Thank you! ♥

  2. in different indian states ..there r different indian english accents > west n north indian part has most clearest accent ..its better than american or british > south indian accent is different th accent that u mentioned in ur video is "south indian accent" ..they cant pronounce well so tht accent is streotyped as indian accent.. its south indian accent ..not all indians hav same accent> why? cuz india has more tht 20 langauges.. each state of country with different langauge .. u should plus study accents of india..dont be streotype india ..the accent tht u showed is from south indian state "tamil nadu"..its not from whole india ..so its not "indian accent" if u see youtube videos on mumbai/bangalore/delhi cities of india they have perfect accent ..n it sounds better than british accent. british accent sounds like old person to them > here ur video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5dOTc9w6us so please remove ur video or make new video n call it as "south indian state "telugu" people english accent"as there language is telugu they speak english like u showed in video..>people from north n central indian part cities dont speak same accent ... dont fool people > if u want to teach different accents to people they dont be stereotype.. give them true knowledge .
